CONTRACTED DAYS: 180 student days + any required staff training days

HOURS:  Up to 29 hours/week based on scheduling needs

REPORTS TO: The Principal or their designee

 

DESCRIPTION: This individual will work, primarily, under the direction of the school's RtI Intervention Specialists or Classroom Teachers in order to deliver academic intervention and support to students throughout the school.  This individual may also cover (sub) for an Intervention Specialist on occassion in the event of their unfilled absence.  This position is not eligible for benefits.  The successful, selected candidate will/must…

• Assist with lunch/recess supervision duties.
• Demonstrate an ability to recognize and celebrate successes.
• Follow provided curriculum/materials.
• Have a love of working with K-8 students.
• Manage small groups of students in daily lesson activities.
• Obtain a substitute teaching permit and/or pass a ParaPro Exam if needed.
• Support progress monitoring with activity logs/records/reports/etc.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the Principal or their designee.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Able to provide at least 3 references from work history in their online application
• Ability to work independently and be responsible
• At least 18 years of age
• Be a problem-solver and demonstrate an excellent attendance record
• Posess a high school diploma or equivalent
